Bentleague Trivia and History

Bentleague XI Champions - BSS II Bentleague Trivia and History Bentleague Trivia (As of December 2025) The Bentleague continues to grow, with more stories and memorable moments on the horizon. For those new to the league, this post shares some history and key trivia, helping you understand the background and details behind the Bentleague stories you may have heard—or missed entirely. How Bentleague Began Bentleague was established as an alternative to USTA after our PAC 4.0 Local Men’s Team, captained by Bentley, advanced to the USTA Nationals Tournament in Palm Springs, California. Bentleague XI: The Year-End Recap

Sorry Brad! Bentleague XI: The Year-End Recap Nobody Asked For (But Everyone will Read Anyway) Shano (Barney Rubble) and the Big Swinging Sticks II capture Bentleague XI! Let that sink in for a bit.  Wire to Wire leaders too.  Made the last match irrelevant for everyone but Brad.  Congrats on your convincing B XI Title.  Time to etch BSS II to the trophy.   We also must get used to the idea of Bentley giving up control of Bentleague next year.  I’ll believe it when I see it.  Kudos to Old Knees Harvey for a “great run” the last ten years and for all his efforts weekly that make PAC (Genesis) the best tennis club on the Northshore.  Here’s hoping Mitch (MDB) doesn’t drop the ball and keeps an idea that started on the way home from Palm Springs, Ca. stay relevant.  It looks like we have a lot of new blood and talent coming up that will continue making PAC tennis and Bentleague the premier league to test our tennis skills. ...

Bentleague Recap…it’s been awhile:

Bentleague Recap…it’s been awhile: Bentleague Recap…it’s been awhile:   Here are some quick hitters to get the BLOG up to date.   I feel like Al Pacino!   I thought I was out…but they dragged me back in.   I’d like to thank the Board for agreeing to let Chris get a substitute for the Saint of St. Bernard.   Only took a month to get past the opinions and put it to a vote.   After two declined and two were shot down because of draft order ratings, the one hander came out of retirement.   Will Big Swinging Sticks run away with Bentleague XI or come back to the pack?   Will Nicky mount the charge predicted by the Swami in his draft analysis?   Will Grant and Brad ever win?   Inquiring minds want to know?   Tune in for the completion of round 4 and the final round as we approach Thanksgiving and the Holidays.   A lot to be thankful for…and it isn’t lost on the Swami that Bentleague is unmatched for good competition, spo...
