Bentleague IV first match in the books and there were some surprises... Straight from A tale of two cities - it was the best of times for some and the worst of times for others.  Two best teams on paper come out shaky and prognosis for a title is not good if they do not rebound soon. Cuban Missile Crisis takes three third set tie breakers to show experience and moxy do pay off. Super Ray looks super in strong single match showing against Kobrock.  Witnessed a lot of good points in this one but Ray had all the answers on this heated September evening.  at least no rackets were thrown but  the battle of top spins and slice back hands went to the steadier one in the end. Undefeated Jeff Softhands Thompson pairs with the latin assassin and takes down the Flying Burritto Captain and Nice Guy Gordo proving once again that nice guys do finish last.  Just like Mush in the Bronx Tale...cries of “we can’t win” we’re heard when Burrito’s posted their line...

Bentleague IV Blog Draft Recap - 9/7/2018 As Ernie Ladd would say…When there is cheese on the moon, you better bring your crackers! The word of the day is optimism.   Everybody thinks they have a chance for the title on draft night.   The Italian Stallion is here to pull back the curtain on the winners and losers of the B IV Draft by grading our fearless captain’s selections. Let’s start with Double Shots…. ·          The Ego Fair goes #1 overall for the second year in a row to Donald and Keller’s chagrin.   No surprise here from Free Willy Spiess.   Solid selection especially with Round 1 having singles. ·          Have to admit…I like this squad top to almost the bottom.   Addison loves this squad too in case he didn’t tell everyone who would listen last night.   Nepotism played a part early but line-up is riddled with athletes.   Selections 3-6 distin...
