Commissioner’s Corner 10/7/2016

Commissioner’s Corner 10/7/2016
·         Standings and Schedule Attached. 2nd Tab has individual Records.  Two teams a 2 and 1.
·         WTF happened!  Chupacabra and El Cubano continue winning ways. Overall Picks 4 & 5 rolled over picks 1, 2, & 3.  Although Donald was handicapped by Brad!
·         WTF takes over 1st Place with previous head to head victory.  Bad back and bad knee may be a blessing for WTF allowing Cuban Connection to stay together.  Can they play all 9 matches together?  Triple H looking for revenge next match now that Brad realizes he should not play line 1
·         Did Ray (Stogies) lose all three again?  Did he lose them all in tie breakers?  Was that 8 tie break losses in three weeks?  I’m thinking Ray takes a cue from Brad and moves down a line (or two) next week.
·         Skip and Chap get into the win column with upset of Goof and Zipp.  Croft looking like a genius with Line 2 shake up.  0-2 start by Zipp has folks thinking about Hot Rod Williams scandal.  Driving Ronny to Drink (More).  Rumor about catching back on Vegas losses unsubstantiated.
·         Power prevailed over poise and steadiness on court 7 as Andrew and Nick beat down Schneider and Kingsdorf.  Bruce’s debut goes south as the paring of Tulane’s finest Wave Victory Flag!
Schneider overheard saying things would have been different on Rubico.  Nick’s bionic shoulder holding up so far…making a strong bid for National Team Roster spot next year in over 40 4.0.
·         Trivia - "You do dumb ass things; pretty soon you're going to be labeled a dumb ass."  Who said it!
·         Speaking of…Sinclair justifies 6th round selection and shines in debut.  Was that a gun going off or just Cayman’s forehand.  Ask Vic and Bobby…?  Engaged crowd fires up the Wolf and helps Ferrer remain UNdefeated.
·         Did someone say defeated!  Fair’s 0-3 and Hunt’s 0-2 start has egos bruised.  After capturing singles’ title over the summer, Hunt left scratching his head losing to the lethal combination of Donald and Chris.  Dream matchup awaits… vs. El Cubano and his Latin lover.  Twitter calling about live streaming rights has Burt’s followers all in a teasy!
·         Paul (evil genius) Eskine drives B&B nuts with lobs and cutters.  Secures winning debut with Captain Brad at line 2 vs. previously undefeated Former–Commish Bentley.  No walk of shame for Billy as he hangs around after match and toasts one to Captain of the year candidate Brad.  Way to go Billy.  Sportsman of the year front runner with Anath.
·         Speaking of….Has anyone seen Anath?  Hunt do you know Anath is on your team?  Do you have Anath’s phone number and email address? Is Anath alive?  Should we put his picture on a milk carton….?  Anath, are you out there?
·         B II Round 1 is in the books.  As expected…results and competition has been very entertaining.
·         Reminder.. Mic Ultra Tournament next week.  B II to resume on 10/20.

See you all in two weeks if not before
Go Cubs!
Eff the Gators!
Also pulling for Arkansas!

Ps
Best of luck to our own Mark Fair who is competing in the Mackle Golf Championship this weekend as a past Champion.

Putting advice available on request.

Bentleague X: The Sequel Draft Recap

Bentleague X: The Sequel Draft Recap   Not for the faint of heart…back by popular demand…here is the St. Bernard Swami’s recap of the Bentleague X Draft.   First things first, this is an unbiased take on the captain’s picks and how the teams fared out on draft night.   As the ombudsman of Bentleague you can count on an unbiased evaluation of each team from top to bottom.   Congrats to the Commish for finally getting rid of the cockamamie scoring system that favored top picks more than late round selections.   This is an inclusive league for all PAC members, and a win by Rockin Toupsie or Josh (Mr. Irrelevant) should be just as much as a win by Russ “Don’t call me Russell” Anderson.   Wait…did Josh win any Bentleague matches last year?   I digress…on to the team draft grades. Drafting in the number one position was Hairy Hal Neitzschman aka. Spin Doctors II.   No surprise here with Russ going first overall.   Clear #1 by everyon...

Bentleague Blog/Vlog 10/22/2025 - Round 2 Match 2 and 3

I'll BE BACK! Going with the VLOG to recap match 2 and 3 of Round 2. https://youtu.be/rLpJlQK81UM? feature=shared --- Here are a couple of parting shots as I go to the IR: Sensei Kobrock will live in Bentleague infamy for having a person who was in Germany in the line up. Grant is still winless!  How is this even possible with those fundamentals. Rudy is working hard to fulfill third round expectations...finally gets in the Win column and it only took five matches! Old Knees Harvey should not complain about being at line 6.  Congrats on the W with Millsie. Nick is the only captain this year to not have a previous title under his belt and its showing.   Don't bet on the Ego on Saturday mornings! The youngin's are asserting themselve,s but a few of the old guard still know how to win.  Especially in TSTB's. Round 3 will reveal who had the best draft middle on down.  Time to get some more players involved. Being on the IR during Bentleague is more painf...
