Commissioner’s Corner 11/11/2016
?         Salute to all Veterans.  Thank you for your service! MAGA!!!
?         Standings and Schedule attached.
?         No Ananth…No Problem.  Spell Check working Ananth.  Sandbagger Hunt remains in 1st Place.  Turns B II on its ears by playing line 3 and securing victory over principal Belding’s squad.  May just win coach of the year trophy but beating Triple H proving to be like Indiana beating LSU in basketball back in the Dale Brown days.
?         Dynamic Duo (Chris and Donald) keep on rolling against Hunt’s sacrificial lambs (Vic and Bobby).  Way to take one for the team boys.  Bonus money better be worth it.
?         Younger Priola disappoints again and fails to live up to and justify third round selection.  Pressure is on to tally a few wins, if he ever gets back in the lineup, otherwise wrath will be aimed squarely at his underwhelming doubles game.  Sandbagger Hunt and undefeated Mitch Tucker (late MVP push) throw a smack down on TP and Doug.  Consider it an early B Day present Mitch….I predict the wheels will fall off soon.  Eff U Hunt becoming a more popular slogan than Make America Great Again.  Fear the Beard not working as Priola gets league high 4th loss.
?         From the “It’s hard to beat a team twice” category….Bentley and Bill take down Triple H captain (Brad) and the guy formally known as the evil genius (Paul) in straight sets.  Talk about A Holes puckering.  Very hard to watch last few points.  What happened to humps heavy hitters? Too many short lobs and double faults to beat the wily veterans.  Triple H on a slippery slope with no one stepping up to help dynamic duo.
?         El Cubano MIA against Stogies.  After suffering first defeat last week, Mesa hands Ray and Steve easy Line 1 Win.  Miscommunication to blame says Captain Croft although Ray believes Stogies Line 1 Striking fear in B II opponents in recent outings.
?         Gordo Wins First.  Andrew Loses First.  Could Zipp’s stock be trending up?  I think so!  Gordo and Zipp take down Andrew and Steady Skip in tightly contested match clincher for Stogies.  Best match of the night on the show court for all to see.  Enjoyed it fellas although I never like to see Ray win.
?         Nick’s shoulder is holding up and with the help of MVP candidate Blake (also undefeated) they take down vertically challenged Kevin and a slumping Ra-Goof.  PAC’s Federer impersonator (Blake) appears not to sweat when challenged and helps WTF avoid sweep.
?         Till next time…

Ps

Bentleague X: The Sequel Draft Recap

Bentleague X: The Sequel Draft Recap   Not for the faint of heart…back by popular demand…here is the St. Bernard Swami’s recap of the Bentleague X Draft.   First things first, this is an unbiased take on the captain’s picks and how the teams fared out on draft night.   As the ombudsman of Bentleague you can count on an unbiased evaluation of each team from top to bottom.   Congrats to the Commish for finally getting rid of the cockamamie scoring system that favored top picks more than late round selections.   This is an inclusive league for all PAC members, and a win by Rockin Toupsie or Josh (Mr. Irrelevant) should be just as much as a win by Russ “Don’t call me Russell” Anderson.   Wait…did Josh win any Bentleague matches last year?   I digress…on to the team draft grades. Drafting in the number one position was Hairy Hal Neitzschman aka. Spin Doctors II.   No surprise here with Russ going first overall.   Clear #1 by everyon...

Bentleague Blog/Vlog 10/22/2025 - Round 2 Match 2 and 3

I'll BE BACK! Going with the VLOG to recap match 2 and 3 of Round 2. https://youtu.be/rLpJlQK81UM? feature=shared --- Here are a couple of parting shots as I go to the IR: Sensei Kobrock will live in Bentleague infamy for having a person who was in Germany in the line up. Grant is still winless!  How is this even possible with those fundamentals. Rudy is working hard to fulfill third round expectations...finally gets in the Win column and it only took five matches! Old Knees Harvey should not complain about being at line 6.  Congrats on the W with Millsie. Nick is the only captain this year to not have a previous title under his belt and its showing.   Don't bet on the Ego on Saturday mornings! The youngin's are asserting themselve,s but a few of the old guard still know how to win.  Especially in TSTB's. Round 3 will reveal who had the best draft middle on down.  Time to get some more players involved. Being on the IR during Bentleague is more painf...
