Commissioner’s corner 12/3/2016

·     *Eff U Hunt’s team regains first place with win over Croft. No Fair No Problem. Up one with one week remaining has Hunt’s team controlling their own destiny.
·    *Schedule and Standings attached.
·    *Did Eff u Hunt really miss work because of a soar throat while his wife was home recovering from knee surgery. Get Well soon Hunt…We want you at full strength next week.
*Chupacabra and El Cubano only victory for Croft’s team vs. Emile and Billy. “Do it for Fidel” battle cry helps Latin duo takes down Meadowbrook connection. Did anyone notice Burt’s new hat? Did anybody else think it was too big for his head?
·    *Magic wains for Federer Blake and Andrew vs. Vic and team MVP Mitch. Mitch and Vic master the art of intimidation by doing Push-ups prior to the match. Undefeated Tucker Train about to come to an end next week vs. Triple H
*Bentley helps Bobby finally get in the win column vs. Skip and Nick. Matching blue shirts not enough for Skip and Nick against the wily veteran and his young protégé’. Skip…your ball was in by the way. FYI – Veteran….Flip flops bad fashion when temperature falls below 70 degrees.
·    *Triple H Captain finds winning line up again vs. Overrated Stogies. Coach has his team primed for a fantastic finale vs. Hunt’s squad next week for the B II Championship. Did someone mention it was a “Loser leave town” match?
·     *League MVP Kobrock carries Triple H and Priola again. New Line 1 pairing too much for Slicing Schneider and Zipp. Revenge is sweet for Priola as he rights the ship vs. the big Zipper. Priola starting to figure out this doubles thing signals bad news for Eff U Hunt!
·    *Doug secures first win with a little help from Donald vs. Steve and Kevin. Did Doug and Donald really come back from 0-4, Love – 40 down in the 2nd set? Does Kevin and Steve really lead B II in losses? Did Ray really think he had the best team on draft night? Commish predicts this loss will sting for weeks and keep Ray up at night wondering how this could happen.
*Ray and Gordo win meaningless 3rd match against Cannon Cayman and Coach Killer Brad to finish out the night. Motivation not high for Brad and Cayman once the W was secured prevents 2nd sweep of Stogies by Triple H.

·    *Title on the line next week. Should be interesting. Stay tuned….

Bentleague X: The Sequel Draft Recap

Bentleague X: The Sequel Draft Recap   Not for the faint of heart…back by popular demand…here is the St. Bernard Swami’s recap of the Bentleague X Draft.   First things first, this is an unbiased take on the captain’s picks and how the teams fared out on draft night.   As the ombudsman of Bentleague you can count on an unbiased evaluation of each team from top to bottom.   Congrats to the Commish for finally getting rid of the cockamamie scoring system that favored top picks more than late round selections.   This is an inclusive league for all PAC members, and a win by Rockin Toupsie or Josh (Mr. Irrelevant) should be just as much as a win by Russ “Don’t call me Russell” Anderson.   Wait…did Josh win any Bentleague matches last year?   I digress…on to the team draft grades. Drafting in the number one position was Hairy Hal Neitzschman aka. Spin Doctors II.   No surprise here with Russ going first overall.   Clear #1 by everyon...

Bentleague Blog/Vlog 10/22/2025 - Round 2 Match 2 and 3

I'll BE BACK! Going with the VLOG to recap match 2 and 3 of Round 2. https://youtu.be/rLpJlQK81UM? feature=shared --- Here are a couple of parting shots as I go to the IR: Sensei Kobrock will live in Bentleague infamy for having a person who was in Germany in the line up. Grant is still winless!  How is this even possible with those fundamentals. Rudy is working hard to fulfill third round expectations...finally gets in the Win column and it only took five matches! Old Knees Harvey should not complain about being at line 6.  Congrats on the W with Millsie. Nick is the only captain this year to not have a previous title under his belt and its showing.   Don't bet on the Ego on Saturday mornings! The youngin's are asserting themselve,s but a few of the old guard still know how to win.  Especially in TSTB's. Round 3 will reveal who had the best draft middle on down.  Time to get some more players involved. Being on the IR during Bentleague is more painf...
