Commissioner's Corner 9/16/2016

Hell of a start Boys….Here are some highlights and lowlights….

·         East Jeff Warriors in the house.  Bentley and Mitch carry the day although team still loses.  Ray infuriates B I Commish with “morning after a night of smoking stogies and drinking cheap whiskey” comment.  Combo of Gordon and Schneider has to sing EJ fight song before next match or incur underwear up the flag pole.
·         Hunt questioning value of  2nd overall pick after no. 3 shines.  Steve officially knows where Ycloskey is and is rooting for CHS over HC this week.  Go Owls.  FYVM.  Can 6th rounder (Morlas) save their season after disappointing 1st week.
·         #ElGuapo (Burt) pays homage to Miguelito (Mike) on social media for Birthday victory.  Brian looking like a genius for picks 4 and 5.  See FB Summary if you want to projectile vomit.
·         McQuire answers injury questions.  Looks lean and mean in debut after three month hiatus.  Other players lining up for healing solutions.    Commish is accurate of over selling praise while trying to get double reward points at GCS.
·         Stogie’s challenge draft ratings and looks like the new team to beat.  Steve even has Ray doing shirt changes between sets.  As long as he keeps his socks on the children are safe.  Ps.  Kim still very appreciative of grooming tip by Thursday night crew.
·         Batman and Alfred capture Meadowbrook Championship over Emile and Bill.  May just justify Rays 2nd and 3rd round selections even though I still believe more value was on the board. 
·         Croft’s team (WTF) squeaks out nail biter over Triple H with Two three victories.  One bright spot for HHH was the pairing of Kobrock and Ferrer.  Should they have played line 1 after beating true line 1 in practice match earlier that week.  There is more to captaining than writing names on a piece of paper. 
·         Commish and Mr. Irrelevant lose a tightly contested three setter to give WTF the Match Win (13-11 in super tie breaker).  Questionable line calls (not by a Priola) being investigated.  See big guy wearing orange shoes and a pumpkin colored shirt to match.  “Hey that ball was out…right”?  Herriott and America’s Best has appointments open…just saying!  PS.  Anyone Seen HHH’s 5th round pick.  Fair’s knee’s were shaking on the mere mention of a Priola/Priola 3rd line match up.
·         1st pick overall succumbs to pressure of top selection and loses to Number(s) 4 and 5.  Can HHH Captain “Bad Playlist” be the blame?
·         McCoys and Hatfields will have nothing on Bill and Emile’s neighborhood woe’s if they lose another match together.  Lets keep an eye on this one…
·         Chaos ensues in two weeks.  See you on the 30th….if not before!


Take Chalmette and 2 ½ over Holy Cross. 
Take LSU and White QB over Miss ST.
Take NYG and my fantasy QB over our beloved Whodats.  (Sorry)

Bentleague Blog/Vlog 10/22/2025 - Round 2 Match 2 and 3

Going with the VLOG to recap match 2 and 3 of Round 2. https://youtu.be/rLpJlQK81UM? feature=shared --- Here are a couple of parting shots as I go to the IR: Sensei Kobrock will live in Bentleague infamy for having a person who was in Germany in the line up. Grant is still winless!  How is this even possible with those fundamentals. Rudy is working hard to fulfill third round expectations...finally gets in the Win column and it only took five matches! Old Knees Harvey should not complain about being at line 6.  Congrats on the W with Millsie. Nick is the only captain this year to not have a previous title under his belt and its showing.   Don't bet on the Ego on Saturday mornings! The youngin's are asserting themselve,s but a few of the old guard still know how to win.  Especially in TSTB's. Round 3 will reveal who had the best draft middle on down.  Time to get some more players involved. Being on the IR during Bentleague is more painf...
