B III - Round 1 Matches in the Books!

B III - Round 1 Matches in the Books!

Some observations:
·        Thanks for the Guest Blog Bradley.  One question…did you really read “Tale of two Cities” or just steal the well renowned first line of the book?
·        FYVM in first place with 7 Lines won, followed by String Music and Cannoli’s at 6 and Team America with 5

·        Carpe’ Knee’em (Tony) not happy exiting Bentleague.  Kobrock comparable sub so String Music not panicking.  Don’t worry Bruce…will take meds to keep Kingsdorf vs. Malachy Brothers series going at TOPS’l.  Injury list growing for SM, but I have confidence in the Captain to right the ship.

·        Hal stepping up his game to keep SM’s title chances alive.  Not to mention George/Ferrer pairing.  If Mitch’s shoulder holds up they will be in it at the end.  Can Ananth fill competitors void left by losing 2nd round pick to injury.
·        Steve/Donald/and Donald’s imaginary friend prove formidable.  This may be the pairing to beat in the rounds 2 and 3.

·        Pre-season predictions for Team America coming true.  Lack of depth hurting title chances.  That and Paul coming back from Mexico with a stomach ailment.
·        Somebody invite Ryan and Ananth to play.  Please.
·        This Keller fella is making a run for MVP.  How about a line 1 challenge Steve?  Also noting a resurgence from El Cubano Mikey.  Well done so far Mikey…well done.  Can’t say the same for your former partner in crime.

·        Fair’s Ego is as over inflated as his 3-0 start.  Cannoli’s will fall just like their number 1 pick.

·        Felt bad for the commish yesterday with Bentley reminiscing about how close he was to getting that first W.  Come on Ray…step it up for the Commish.  4th and 5th round selections not producing and Number 1 letting Captain Gordo down.
·
Keeping it short boys…have to get ready for Destin.  Looks like a two horse race.  Can SM recover from injuries?  Will SM’s depth prevail in the end?  Will Ananth ever play?  Stallion says top eight from FYVickMorlas may be too tough for anyone else to mount a challenge.  Stallion also says Cannoli’s lucky to be tied for 2nd.  Sad day in BIII knowing Dream match between Hump/and the Ego vs. The Freebirds won’t happen.  Carry my torch well ChrisKobrock.  Ray and Mesa…get ready…I’m thinking you will be needed every match to keep Team America relevant heading into Rd 2 and 3.

Bentleague X: The Sequel Draft Recap

Bentleague X: The Sequel Draft Recap   Not for the faint of heart…back by popular demand…here is the St. Bernard Swami’s recap of the Bentleague X Draft.   First things first, this is an unbiased take on the captain’s picks and how the teams fared out on draft night.   As the ombudsman of Bentleague you can count on an unbiased evaluation of each team from top to bottom.   Congrats to the Commish for finally getting rid of the cockamamie scoring system that favored top picks more than late round selections.   This is an inclusive league for all PAC members, and a win by Rockin Toupsie or Josh (Mr. Irrelevant) should be just as much as a win by Russ “Don’t call me Russell” Anderson.   Wait…did Josh win any Bentleague matches last year?   I digress…on to the team draft grades. Drafting in the number one position was Hairy Hal Neitzschman aka. Spin Doctors II.   No surprise here with Russ going first overall.   Clear #1 by everyon...

Bentleague Blog/Vlog 10/22/2025 - Round 2 Match 2 and 3

I'll BE BACK! Going with the VLOG to recap match 2 and 3 of Round 2. https://youtu.be/rLpJlQK81UM? feature=shared --- Here are a couple of parting shots as I go to the IR: Sensei Kobrock will live in Bentleague infamy for having a person who was in Germany in the line up. Grant is still winless!  How is this even possible with those fundamentals. Rudy is working hard to fulfill third round expectations...finally gets in the Win column and it only took five matches! Old Knees Harvey should not complain about being at line 6.  Congrats on the W with Millsie. Nick is the only captain this year to not have a previous title under his belt and its showing.   Don't bet on the Ego on Saturday mornings! The youngin's are asserting themselve,s but a few of the old guard still know how to win.  Especially in TSTB's. Round 3 will reveal who had the best draft middle on down.  Time to get some more players involved. Being on the IR during Bentleague is more painf...
