Finishing up week 2.
Mr. Black Box (Jawn)  and Eff U Hunt take down Schneider and Chap.  FU Vic Morlas wins 3 of 4 to capture first place.  This team is tough on paper and if roster is available will be a team to be recon'd with.

Cannolis take last two vs. String Music to even it up.
Cannolis first and second round picks take down SM’s number 8 and 11 to bolster Let go of my Ego MFair.  Brad finally in win column.  Mark and Brad win easy vs. George and Mount.  First lost for Geraltol 3 member.
Captain Ferrer and Jay lose a hard fought match against Captain Dessert and Big Andrew.  Da Wave alum shines at the net as Sting Music cannot force third set.

Week 3 Blog   “Carpe Knee ‘em”
Full disclosure – Mad props to T for doing the blog every week. Always love the big re-cap from the little one. I will do my best with spell check as I guest blog this week. Hope your knee feels better soon buddy. No worries as Tony will be scribing again next week.
In that vein for the salutatorian from “up the road,” I’m going to go all Chucky Dickens on y’all with the recap from last Thursday.
A Tale of Two Cities – “It was the best of times; it was the worst of times”
We shall start with the worst
Grace King Fighting Irish didn’t put up much of a fight this week. Memories of 6:00 JV baseball games with Hurley and Humphreys (as Juniors) kicking ass were quickly squashed when the councilman and Hunt dominated the late match 1 & 1. They didn’t want to be out there….that long. Assholes!  It took longer for the queso to come at Chilis than for the deep crowd to realize there was nothing worth watching in the late match
The Grace King 7:00 Varsity baseball game memories for Shane (as a sophomore) were also squashed when Steve and Donald went Chuck Woolery on them at 2 & 2. No love connection between the Cannoli teammates as Steve and Donald offered to pay for their next date but Andrew declined.

Holy Caracas! Team South America looked to go 3-0 Thursday evening so the make-up match wouldn’t matter on Monday. (check that ALL LINES MATTER). Captain Gordo looked like a genius with the lineup as Super Ray and Bentley drew a match with String Music Cap Mark Ferrer and “Georgie” Strain. However, they weren’t clowning around as Mark and Strain were on IT destroying the 8.5 team 2 & 2. “You’ll float too, mfers” General rule is Ray and Insert Name Here can beat anybody but when Harvey filled the line Super Ray played like Sugar Ray. Ray, get some highlights and a microphone and no one will recognize those hideous toes. I apologize for that as I know you are missing that special someone that had to take an early exit from Bentleague.

Now that we have taken care of the non-competitive matches, Bentleague looked good with the other 4 matches.
Captain Cannoli and El Cannon knocked out Skip and Pat on the dirt. Welcome back Pat! I’m glad we got you early. I overheard Kevin say “Good Job Chef, I wanted to beat them 5 & 2 as I felt I played big like 5’2”. Cayman responded by saying “Hell yeah Dr. Love, we knocked their dicks in the dirt!”
Rocky and Jaw-n on paper seemed like an unbeatable team. The two top grossing 80’s movies of Rocky and Jaws would intimidate any team but not so fast my friend. Old teammates Mark and Blake were up for the challenge. After a long 6 & 5 win the worn out Rocky and soaking wet Jawn looked more like Turner and Hooch!

Cannolis and FYVM tied at 2-2. We are looking forward to the rematch.
At least the latest match of the night went to a 3rd set tiebreaker. Mesa and Billy took on Big John and Mitch. In true form the Bentleague crew migrated to court 7 to get up close and personal for the tiebreaker. Great points but a light-footed Mesa and generous call by John allowed Team South America to take the lead 2-1. Make-up match features Gordo and Eskine vs ???? on Monday.
I don’t think it matters. I’m going to call it early. South America will tie String Music 2-2
Overall it was the best of times because the after party at Chilis included 2 for 1’s and chicken wings. And the Cubs pulled it out.
Guest Blogger Out!

My apologies. I forgot there was another non-competitive match. I was trying to be nice since Ronny’s turned 60 yesterday. King Bruce and Mark destroyed Goof and Vic 2&1.

Bentleague X: The Sequel Draft Recap

Bentleague X: The Sequel Draft Recap   Not for the faint of heart…back by popular demand…here is the St. Bernard Swami’s recap of the Bentleague X Draft.   First things first, this is an unbiased take on the captain’s picks and how the teams fared out on draft night.   As the ombudsman of Bentleague you can count on an unbiased evaluation of each team from top to bottom.   Congrats to the Commish for finally getting rid of the cockamamie scoring system that favored top picks more than late round selections.   This is an inclusive league for all PAC members, and a win by Rockin Toupsie or Josh (Mr. Irrelevant) should be just as much as a win by Russ “Don’t call me Russell” Anderson.   Wait…did Josh win any Bentleague matches last year?   I digress…on to the team draft grades. Drafting in the number one position was Hairy Hal Neitzschman aka. Spin Doctors II.   No surprise here with Russ going first overall.   Clear #1 by everyon...

Bentleague Blog/Vlog 10/22/2025 - Round 2 Match 2 and 3

I'll BE BACK! Going with the VLOG to recap match 2 and 3 of Round 2. https://youtu.be/rLpJlQK81UM? feature=shared --- Here are a couple of parting shots as I go to the IR: Sensei Kobrock will live in Bentleague infamy for having a person who was in Germany in the line up. Grant is still winless!  How is this even possible with those fundamentals. Rudy is working hard to fulfill third round expectations...finally gets in the Win column and it only took five matches! Old Knees Harvey should not complain about being at line 6.  Congrats on the W with Millsie. Nick is the only captain this year to not have a previous title under his belt and its showing.   Don't bet on the Ego on Saturday mornings! The youngin's are asserting themselve,s but a few of the old guard still know how to win.  Especially in TSTB's. Round 3 will reveal who had the best draft middle on down.  Time to get some more players involved. Being on the IR during Bentleague is more painf...
