Blog 12/5- and then there were two...

a lot to catch y’all up on and I hope i get most of it correct. if not i reserve the right to make it up.

Just like the cockamamie rules from the commish this year.

had to finish one match from third round and with three make up match days and a rain out my head is spinning ttrying to recall who played who and when. all we really need to know is that CMC and Double shots have 27 wins and are tied heading into the final match Thursday! as Stiffler would say...It’s on like Donkey Kong!

to set the stage here are some match recaps that i can remember:

third round make up

Hal and Addy take down kobrock and Hump

poor Kobrock having to get out of a slump with the coach killer Brad.  

Hal and Addison to the rescue to keep DS on pace inside the bubble.

4th round

double shots vs burritos

tony and cayman lose to kobrock and butcher

kobrock came to play. rain delay and a STB reunion hurt the Double pairing.

steve and mark beat gordo and rock

Ego fresh off Macy’s Day parade stays in the win column with stock soaring Jacobs. gordo and Rock made it closer than it should have been.

billy and zipp beat andrew and robbyG

Free Willy vying for captain of the year. RobbyG talkingbto himself and solid performance from DS spell doom for FB squad

Addy and Ferr beat john allen and Hump

Slumping Hump dealing JA another loss. mr competitive and the confident youngster surprise while grinding out this W.  

double shots vs Tucker

mark and steve beat ronny and B III

oh so close! another third set defeat for Goof. can’t blame this one on the Donald.

looks like a team to be reckoned with says the CMC Crying Cuban

ferr And Hal lose to Robby and Hunt

another solid performance from RobbyE as he overcomes scary ladder accident pairing with the bearded former fountainbleu star to get a hard fought W. nothing given away here.

tony and Perry lose to Kevin and Shane

roller coaster ride had theses squads splitting the first two sets. by the time it was over both double shot players were on the ledge and had to be talked down. fine performance by Come back shane and little punky brewster.  

billy and zipp win vs. mitch and Mount

Effing Mitch don’t like the round four rules from early indications. lefty /righty combo proves formitable again as Willy chaulks up another round 4 win with the ex line man out of Auburn.

CMC vs Burritos

dave and tyler lose to Ray and Schneider

Entrepreneur Dave struggling on the tennis court is an understatement. ray and the sly one pairing racking up W’s. secretly hoping to see this pairing in the finale. Whiny Brouillette going down and being consoled by the crying cuban is must see TV in anyone’s book. even better than “this is us”? well let’s not get crazy...

mike and bruce beat andrew and Nick

score was close from what i hear but Little Nadal not surprised with the outcome.  

valiant fight from Tricky Nicky and Mr. Burrito.

jeff and john keller beat john allen and chris

this one was over before the peacock got of the ledge. any one have some bread sticks for the FB pairing? barely sweat from the Grumpy Councilman and the Jedi.

doubt and ananth lose to gordo and brad

once believed unbeatable the bionic doubt goes down. somewhat of a surprise with brad on the other side of the net but everyone knows that Ananth don’t like close matches so that hurt doubt’s chances.

CMC vs Mother Tucker’s

hunt and shane beat keller and blake

Shane to the rescue again and back to the drawing board for CMC.  Hunt quietly posting wins for MT squad.  CMC captain questioning Blake’s dedication and future partnership with On Jeremy look alike in jeopardy.

mesa and sid beat mitch and doug 

another captain match and another loss for the EffingMother tucker captain.  that’s all i have to say about Mitch’s bitches.  that’s called possessive use of the NOUN in case any one was interested.

jeff and ray beat d allen and Ronny R

did ronny lose another third setter with Donald?  oh snap!

jeff and ray prove to tough and win all of the big point.  well the big points that mattered.

doubt and schneider best george and kevin

questions about the best of the geritol three be damned.  Bionic Doubt laying claim after beating up on Furious George.  disappointment from Draft compounded by loss to founding member doubt.

a lot of controversy on the new commissioners watch observed those in attendance on saturday.

Whiny Brouillette and the crying Cuban stirring the pot.  this isn’t ladies Northlake men.  let’s keep it above board and show some respect to the league namesake.
