BFAM Allen vs Bring IT Allen

Keller/Hunt puts a beat down on Ray/Ronny รจ Hunt/Keller 1-1
This duo is racking up Wins.  Pay attention Commish for next year’s USTA.  Shit, I may be able to get some W’s in doubles with the almost Judge next to me.  Come on not-so-super Ray.  You are better than that.

Kobrock did the same to Schneider. Chris 1-1 (Ouch)
Kosher Kobrock redeeming himself nicely after a disappointing Bentleague IV.  Not surprised by the win but Very surprised by the score.

Burt/Todd beat Billy/Tyler 2-6
Free Willy and Tyler go down.  Latin Gigolo having a stellar B V season. Ditch and Dive comparisons to Tricky Nicky a little premature.  Todd the wet sprocket can play like a 4.5 sometimes and a 3.oh other times.  Guess we know which Todd showed up this time.

Wayne/Robby lost to Ferr/Addison 1-0
Sacrifice to get four I assume.  Easy win for Charlie Hustle Ferr and Nick wannabe-Addison.

No John Allen or Kenny/Jennings so the next sacrifice is bestowed upon Vic & George at line 1:
Donald/Dave win  3-2.  Five games not so bad against the Gaelic one and The Donald.

BFAM (Donald) wins 4-1

B3 & I lost to Jon and Mesa on clay 4&3. Fun match, lot of good points & we had our chances but Mesa really played well and Jon is Jon.
Did the Ego really say there was a lot of good points.  Damn, he’s turning into Donald after his losses.  Mesa bounces back after some bad press last week.  Nice to have Jon picking up the broken pieces.
May have gone too strong at line 1 capt if this is your only win.

Nick beat Groeneveld 6-2,6-0 in singles. Stock skyrocketing for Nick. Most impressive was the match lasted only about an hour.
MotherEffer!  This guy needs to be humbled.  Capt should have given Mesa a try at redemption on the singles pairing.   Groen still reeling after tough loss to Kobrock cannot bounce back against the Trickster.  This should have been me against Tricky Nicky.  Damn USDA!

Brad and Big Hitting Buddy (Jays words) beat Jeff & Butcher 3&4
Ouch.  Sir Isaac so good he’s making Brad look like a world beater.  Needed this one Jeffro.  Did Brad stayin the alley and let Buddy cover 89% of the court.  Shit!

Ananth & Jonathan took down Autin & Sumner straight sets. 4 and 3.
Glad to see Big Lefty make an appearance.  Winning with Mr. Irrelevant nonetheless.  I remember way back when Autin having three Bentleague titles to his claim.  My how his stock has fallen.
9 and 12 vs. 11 and 16 should have done better if Capt HOF picks were on point.  Algorithm must have been a little off with this one hefty lefty.

Final match - Robby & Cayman beat Mitch & Ray H in 3rd set breaker. Tennis quality very erratic. Cayman was the steady player while Robby was Jekyl & Hyde. 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 WTF
When the Cannon is locked and loaded he is tough to beat and when described as the steady one…look out!  High Strung duo wins a close one against Svelt Mitch and not to be confused with Blake Hebert.  No word on the score of the tie breaker but at least we had a fighting chance.  I can only imagine the conversations in between points from the ADHD poster boys.

B3 takes 4 against Jeffro OUCH!

SOB!  Now I’m pissed.  See you bums Saturday.

Bentleague X: The Sequel Draft Recap

Bentleague X: The Sequel Draft Recap   Not for the faint of heart…back by popular demand…here is the St. Bernard Swami’s recap of the Bentleague X Draft.   First things first, this is an unbiased take on the captain’s picks and how the teams fared out on draft night.   As the ombudsman of Bentleague you can count on an unbiased evaluation of each team from top to bottom.   Congrats to the Commish for finally getting rid of the cockamamie scoring system that favored top picks more than late round selections.   This is an inclusive league for all PAC members, and a win by Rockin Toupsie or Josh (Mr. Irrelevant) should be just as much as a win by Russ “Don’t call me Russell” Anderson.   Wait…did Josh win any Bentleague matches last year?   I digress…on to the team draft grades. Drafting in the number one position was Hairy Hal Neitzschman aka. Spin Doctors II.   No surprise here with Russ going first overall.   Clear #1 by everyon...

Bentleague Blog/Vlog 10/22/2025 - Round 2 Match 2 and 3

I'll BE BACK! Going with the VLOG to recap match 2 and 3 of Round 2. https://youtu.be/rLpJlQK81UM? feature=shared --- Here are a couple of parting shots as I go to the IR: Sensei Kobrock will live in Bentleague infamy for having a person who was in Germany in the line up. Grant is still winless!  How is this even possible with those fundamentals. Rudy is working hard to fulfill third round expectations...finally gets in the Win column and it only took five matches! Old Knees Harvey should not complain about being at line 6.  Congrats on the W with Millsie. Nick is the only captain this year to not have a previous title under his belt and its showing.   Don't bet on the Ego on Saturday mornings! The youngin's are asserting themselve,s but a few of the old guard still know how to win.  Especially in TSTB's. Round 3 will reveal who had the best draft middle on down.  Time to get some more players involved. Being on the IR during Bentleague is more painf...
