Salute to the best tennis league and commissioner in the history of tennis leagues.  We are very fortunate to have such a great group of friends who can compete hard and play even harder.  Special thanks to Cayman for hosting us again and for Bentley for sharing his Christmas present with us. Here are some pics from yesterday....  and some comments on awards after the pics. For those keeping score of the very unscientific award nominations: League MVP goes to Bo but Sabatuth was the sentimental winner. Best teammate went to Cayman.  Seth abstained. Worse eyesight for lines went to Lil Nadal.  Travis voted six times. Pink hat award went to Eskine but Bentley overruled the tally and gave the hat to the Ombudsman! Least favorite partner went to Peter.  May have helped that he was not present. Played Better than his draft position went to Eddie by a little over Andrew.  Hal demanded a recount. Played worse than his draft position went to Tim.  Sorry D...

  Playoff Thursday/Scratch That – Playoff Saturday Recap 12/11/2021   Oopps! He did it again! Scores: Jon/ Russell v Buddy/Mark 3-6, 7-6, 6-1 Well, like they say….its hard to beat a team four times in a row.     Congrats to Line 1 winners Juan and Skinny legs.   From what the Swami observed, it appeared Russ went to another gear in the pivotal third.   Pretty much steam rolling Shake and Bake twosome.   Damn Thursday rainout!   Juan's improved eyesight and one too many old fashioned drinks for the Ego did not help. Ronny/Mitch v B3/Peter 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 Swami would have lost money on this one.   Congrats to the two wily veterans out of Rummel and East Jeff.   Looks like they played with a chip on their shoulder especially in the third when it mattered.  Truth be told, most onlookers did not give them a chance except for their captain.   Would the ended have been different had line 1 gone the other way?  ...

  Weekly Recap Season Ending Match - Round 5 Match 3 12/2/2021   Scores: Harper Valley PTA            vs            Shake and Bake                Jon / Russell                       Buddy / Fair         6-4,6-7,6-3 Battle of the heavy weights.   And not saying this just because Fair spent a week at the hunting camp eating and drinking.   Swami witnessed some high-powered MPH’s on the show court.   Even witnessed a Bo Jackson reenactment (see broken racket pic).     No Sampson let down from Buddy the Elf after getting that hair cut either.   Your Dad would be proud.   The Elf brought out his Pro Tour mojo and played like mone...
