My Ace Deux Smash Brothers
Line 1 Tony Priola Mike Mesa 6-2,6-1 Smash Brothers
Sid Hauptmann Mike Lane
Magic Mike squared brought us to the
woodshed. KMA was never really in the
match. As Jackie Gleason would say…I am
humbled.
Line 2 Mark Schneider Mitch Tucker 6-4,6-1 Kiss My Ace Deux
Jack Ellis Bentley
Harvey
KMA saved the other 2 pointer as
Samuri and Mr. MeHoff dominated. So far…Jackie
Boy looking like a steal at 11.
Line 3 Michael Schwartz Nick Thompson 7-5, 6-2 Smash
Brothers
Russell Anderson Mark Fair
Dang. Tricky/Ego duo still rising. Someone needs to knock these two down a
peg. Tricky’s power a little too much
for Sarge on this night and Lil Nadal never likes it when he looks over and Russ
is throwing rackets.
Line 4 Robby Economides Blake Powers 6-3, 6-3 Kiss My Ace Deux
Jeff Thompson Ronny
Regouffre
Gouffre still trying to get back in match form. Blake’s game appears solid minus his normal
serve but W’s so far have been hard to come by. ADHD Econo and Jeffro handle business with
easy 3 and 3 victory.
Line 5 Alejandro Torres Addison Melancon 7-6 6-4 Kiss
My Ace Deux
Ernie Anderson Mark Ferrer
Boom. Alejandro gets that elusive first W with the
help of some solid net play by the big cat Ernie Anderson. Hopefully a sign of
more W’s in your future Ale. Addi showed
glimpses of former self but most just happy to see him on the court after scary
knee injury.
KMA will take the W but was hoping
for a wider margin.

7:30 Angry Squirrels The
Killers
Line 1 Kevin Phayer Brad
Humphreys 6-1,4-6,10-8 The Killers
George Strain Keith
Laterrade
Age almost prevailed in a closely
fought TSTB. Seems like a Trend for the
Angry Squirrels Captain. Another reason
for the Mouth to spout off, but most know Smiley Laterade’s athleticism was the
difference.
Line 2 Greg Gordon Donald Allen 5-7,7-6,10-6 The Killers
Eric Daigle Steven
Burgess
If this one came down to a line
call, we know who would win. The Don was
solid, Captain Hook rose to the challenge on the big points and Gecko Gordon
who has been playing exceptional, finally shows some cracks.
Line 3 Noah Marquez Ed
Dauterive 7-6,6-1 Angry Squirrels
Will Gement Chris Kobrock
Squirrels finally able to put top
two draft picks together and the result was scary good. 6-1 second set has Brad scratching his head
with decision to go with Chris at line 3 (pseudo line 1). These points left on the court may come back
to haunt Captain Killer.
Line 4 Dave McGuire Shane
McCarthy 6-0,1-6, 10-7 Angry Squirrels
Eddie Burdette Jay
Blossman
The Chief Burdette vying for MVP consideration
with yet another win. McGuire cementing
best 7th round draft pick.
Shano and Eddie hitting 20 shot rallies, mano e mano, forehand to
forehand until Dave could put it away was a text book example on how to win in
Bentleague.
Line 5 Andrew McQuaid Chris Coincon 6-2, 6-2 Angry Squirrels
David Parnell Ken
Looper
More magic from Pouty Parnell and
all Andrew does is Win at Tops’l and Bentleague. The Golfer and Reply all Coincon a little
overmatched on this one.

Line 1 Tony Priola Kevin
Phayer 2-6,6-3,10-8 Kiss My Ace Deux
Joey Dunbar Dave McGuire
Lil Nadal redeems and sends Captain
Squirrel home with another TSTB Defeat. Mighty
Joe Dunbar overcomes shaky start to justify 7th round selection with
Captain’s round W. Power and finesse on
display for KMA left AS Duo left the club disheartened.
Line 2 Rudy Kalman Eddie Burdette 2-6,6-4,10-8 Angry Squirrels
Jack Ellis Seth
Monaghan
Ouch. First loss for RuPaul and Jack MeHoff may be
the biggest surprise of the day. Damn
Chief Burdette. Tough combo with the
Alpha Ginger running around at the net. Blueprint
on Crazy eyes is to keep him at the baseline and wait for the out ball. Once he gets to the net, he turns into Robby. Probably
should have coached these two up some more before the match.
Line 3 Russell Anderson Noah Marquez 6-4,7-6 Angry Squirrels
Jeff Thompson Greg
Gordon
Dang, more racket throwing by Don’t
call me Russell and the Angry lefty.
Need to get that smile back fellas.
Gordo rising to the occasion once again.
The better the competition the better Gecko plays according to Swami. Where would this team be without Burdette and
Gordo. If only the captain would register
some points won.
Line 4 Mark Schneider David Parnell 6-2,6-4 Angry Squirrels
Skip Scoggins Andrew
McQuaid
There goes that man again. Parnell and McQuaid for the W. getting tired of writing that. KMA taking notice for better pairings in
Round 4.
Line 5 Thomas Domingues Jay Butcher 6-2,6-0 Angry Squirrels
Josh Clark Don
Sharman
3rd rounder at line
5. I’ll take the hit for this 2-6
loss. Out coached (but not out played) plain
and simple. Come on Captain, you must do
better.

Line 1 Mike Mesa Brad
Humphreys 3-6,7-5,10-5 Smash Brothers
Mark Ferrer Ray
Brouillette
One Unplugged says not so fast,
awarding best 7th round draft pick.
Throws down the gauntlet with Captain’s round W and Mesa goes 2-0 so far
in captains round to sneak back in the title chase. Not sure if the Mouth and Super Ray stayed up
late the night before but game and over heads were suspect all match and
especially in the TSTB. Good win for
Smash Brothers.
Line 2 Mitch Tucker Donald
Allen 6-3,6-4 Smash Brothers
Greg Eckholdt Todd
Delcambre
There you go MDB! Congrats on your 2nd win of
Bentleague X even though your first one was a gift. Swami a little surprised by the Don and Toad
going down so easily. 2 points were
there for your taking Don Don the Dancing Machine. Thinking you’ll get one more chance at line 2
on Nov 2 to really justify that 6th round selection unless the
captain bumps you down for son of ed or Steve’s replacement.
Line 3 Blake Powers Ed
Dauterive 6-4,6-0 The
Killers
George Lampard Shane McCarthy
16th round selection Lampard
at line 3. Looks like a gift to the
Killers. Came out impressive in his B X
Debut but this is a lot to ask and the score backs this up.
Line 4 Mark Fair Max
Agnew 6-4,6-4 Smash
Brothers
David Butler Cayman
Sinclair
Rude welcome back from NC for the
Cannon. Playing against his Taco Tuesday
teammate proved challenging for the Chef.
Was a little strange seeing them on different sides of the net. If you can avoid Fabio Max’s reach at the net
you have a chance and Butler more than held his own. Good win for Butler.
Line 5 Ronny Regouffre Paul Eskine 7-6,7-5 The Killers
Keith West Gabe
Perez
Congrats Mr. Eskine. Swami knew you were on the verge of a W after
that emotional defeat last week. It was
just a matter of time and having the young Baylor grad next to you didn’t hurt. Is this the first Bentleague W for you? If memory serves…I feel honored to have
witnessed your first Bentleague W. Now you
are just behind Toups by 3 or so he claimed.
Tightly contested match and sorry to see Gouffre on the short end
again. Goof and West lose West family
making names for themselves on Friday night’s too as the young St. Paul’s DB is
up for Player of the week honors.
Total Points 6 2
Two lopsided defeats by the front runners
brings AS and SB back into the title chase.
Things are getting interesting. First the October Supermoon and now KMA and
the Killers go down convincingly.
New totals are below. Enjoy the two-week hiatus and the good
weather, Bentleague X will resume on Nov 2.
Totals as of 10/23:
KMA 38
Smash Brothers 30
Angry Squirrels 30
Killers 36
