  Bentleague Blog 9/24/22   With President’s Cup and Laver Cup on the tube, I am astonished by what we have in Bentleague. To quote the great one Fed “I always felt like I was a team player at the heart” and "I was just happy to play tennis and spend time with my friends".   That my friend it's what it's all about.    Great second round of the season with reversals from opening round and plenty of 3rd set breakers.    Doucebag vs Cobra Kai JA/Ferrer            Russell/Chris  6-4, 4-6, 1-0 Chris seemed a little nervous after splitting up his young duo at line 1, but with a victory in hand easing some of the tension.   Ghost Blog edition  9/22/22 Commish!   Great start to the season.  Mostly close matches and you gotta win those third set tiebreakers. Scores: Cobra Kai vs. Cannon’s Wolf-Pac Russell/Will        Nick/Addison    6-1, 6-0 Overall number 1 pick proves his worth.  Skinny legs and “I Will be on time” put an ass-whooping on their opponents.  I thought this one was going south before the match when Nick said they were the wily veteran team.   Chris/Ray           Ed/Mike              4-6, 6-3, 10-5 Cannon’s move to put his number 1 at number 2 works out.  Saw some good tennis from these guys and scores show it.   Bentleague VIII - INFERNO BLOG   Draft party did not disappoint.   WOW!   Wolfman… you outdid yourself.   Best spread to date.   Also, Big thanks to Dave and Kenny for the booze donation.   Even though some may have over libated (Toups and Fair), fun was had by all minus a few hurt egos (Brad and the Chairman).   Cannon gets nod for early front running for Captain of the year for sure.   And those gold ditty bags.   Left the other captains scratching their heads as everyone wanted to be a part of the Cannon’s Wolfpack.   Commish (Ronny) and Chairman (Bentley), this is shaping up to be one hell of a Bentleague.   All Captains came prepared.   No one pulled a Gordo and came to the draft with ass and face only.   Now…Let’s get to the St. Bernard Swami’s draft analysis.   Often imitated but never duplicated here are my impartial draft grades.   Since I am on the IR to start the league, I don’t want to he...
